Unable to add local share on Mac OSX 12.5.1

Even after ensuring Full Access for the BluOS Controller app, I am not able to add my iTunes folder on an external hard drive. The path is somewhat long:

/TbExternalDrive/Music/iTunes/Previous iTunes Libraries/iTunes Media

What gives ?

  In the past and I do mean years ago OSX had issues sharing external USB drives If they were formatted to fat32 as permissions could not be set.

  If indeed the drive is fat32, you could pop a single track on a USB memory stick that’s formatted to anything other than fat32.

  Turned out I had to change permissions to pretty much 777 from top down on the music folder, located on an external drive. And then restart everything a few times. Then finally it worked.
