Powering Node 2021 On-Off How and How Often

I recently upgraded from Allo DigiOne Signature Transport to Node 2021 and very much satisfied with the Ecosystem. Only thing hurts is lack of Chromecast support.
I live in India where power surge/fluctuations are common, so I power my entire Stereo Setup with APC Online UPS. Still for precaution, unlike western users, I don't keep my setup powered on when not in use (like 20+ hours a day most days), not even on standby.
For burn-in (placebo / myth ?) I did not powered off the Node for 2 weeks and kept some Radio station streaming. But now I want to keep the Node off when my Amp/DAC are off too. Is it fine to just power the Node off / on as many time we do with Amp (like 1-2 times a day) ? with Allo Digione running on Raspberry I had to "Shutdown" the Streamer from Volumio App. But with dedicated Hardware like Node, would it be fine turning off at will or should I keep it on to avoid damage , because I won't feel comfortable leaving it on at mercy of any power surge . Whatever, I will have to choose between the Devil and the deep blue sea

Like all modern IoT 'Smart' appliances, the Bluesound NODE is designed to be always on and always ready. It should not be powered down unless you plan on not using it for extended periods of time. By this we mean greater than a week such as going on vacation... thus we call it Vacation Mode in our documentation. Frequent use of Vacation Mode as an on/off switch will prematurely age your power supply which is designed to be always on and always ready. If however, you choose to repeatedly use vacation mode, we recommend making DHCP reservations in your router table to prevent network confusion when IP addresses change when using the App or presets.
The power conditioning equipment you are using should suffice in protecting the NODE when left on all the time.

Why should I leave a device switched on if I don't use it for days? Especially since the power consumption of a Vault2i is quite high. If the power supply gives up the ghost, you can be sure that no more Bluesound device will be purchased. So you get the idea to sell the Vault 2i quickly before the part becomes scrap.
Or do you drive your car into the garage in the evening and let the engine run for a few days just because a cheap part is installed?Instead, you could make the bitrate display available in the app if their developers could manage it (unfortunately, that doesn't look like it).

Please, we all have a right to disagree but there's no need to swear. This is a helpful and responsive forum which we all want to continue. No system is perfect but let's keep it civilised.

Sorry if I was a little angry.
That was not meant personally.
But for almost 3 years I, or we always hear only - we pass it on, it comes sometime, it is planned, etc..
Then you should honestly say: No, we can't, we don't want to, there won't be. This stalling tactic does nothing for the customer and even less for the manufacturer.
I have a company myself... and here there is the saying: Honesty is the best policy.0 -
Not sure why you think they are being dishonest. The device is supposed to be always powered on. They clearly say this. Lots of electronics are designed this way. Other components in my system are always on as well. It's a design choice.
