Cross Over range on Sub-woofer

Hi - I'm thinking of buying a sub-woofer but wondered what the cross over range is for the latest version of the Powernode which I have. On the app it says there's a range of 40-200hz but in the manual I think it says it's fixed at 80hz? If it's the latter is there any value in adding a sub-woofer?

  Sub out is always active.
  Variable 40-200Hz with subwoofer setting ON. That will also filter the speaker output.
  Earlier firmware had, when subwoofer setting OFF, a fixed 80Hz filter, and full range speaker output.
  Not sure about the latest firmware.
