Using Bluesound and separate speakers with my existing Amplifier
AnsweredHi I am looking for the best way to get the music that I Play through my amplifier which is with all my hi-fi I mac computer and router in my office to my rear garden , my house is open plan and the garden is just round the corner from the office I can easily get wifi there but running extra speaker cables from the existing amplifier is not an option also it’s powering my main speakers I have some old sonos equipment but don’t really want to upgrade this as I don’t use it anymore as it doesn’t support a lot of the file formats of the music that I have stored on my Nas Drive including Dsd iso and wav It seems blue sound supports all of these but just don’t know the best way to do it I also don’t use any streaming services
I reallly don’t want to buy another amp and would like wifi speakers (external if possible)
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Barry

Sounds like if you go the BlueOS route to access your NAS via an N130 "2021" Node. You would most likely want to hook it up to the amp. Then a second BlueOS device for the garden perhaps a Bluesounds Flex and Pulse speaker. You can find factory refurbs online for 50% off if you are ok with the older technology. This is pretty much my set up but I have 2 nodes and a pulse. It always me to run music it full party mode if I like with any of the 3 BlueOS devices being the driver or inputs to them.

Thanks for the info Eric
So what inputs on the amp would the N130 "2021 connect to please?, also do both the flex and pulse speakers need to be plugged or just one I am also still not sure if they are Waterproof I have seen some sites say yes and others say it needs a skin to protect it but its still not !!
Thanks in advance

The Flex and Pulse are not waterproof and need to be plugged in. Mine lives in the master but is moved around as needed.

You can send an Analog or Digital from both the Node 2i or N130. They both have a multi-input mini plug. The N130 also has an input HDMI. My Denon amp has both Analog and Digital input options. Currently, I'm using the Node DAC through the Analog RCAs.
Node N130

Nodes, Flex, and Pulse devices are separate streamers. They can be linked in sync and any device can be the master (diving the music content). I have 1 pulse that is hooked up to a phono and another hooked up to a SACD & TV. So choosing between devices is centered around what equipment our sound stage you are trying to create.
So I can play music from my TV, SACD, Phono, and subscriptions through all devices or a pair or individually

This is what the BluOS controller shows on my MAC. I have focus on the OFFICE node.
