Is it better to use optical or USB for my FDA?

You do not have variable output when using a USB - in most DACs it is better to have the volume controlled by the DAC in the audio chain. If your external DAC is MQA certified you will require audio to be fixed to have full MQA playback...

...but, as always, go with what your ears decide.

The advice is… use whatever sounds best to your ears.

USB output is fixed to a DAC so this is correct, some DDCs which are sold as DACs do let you alter the volume using USB,

Edit… TonyW beat me to it.

Alright thank you. My dac amp is not MQA.

In the settings, which options do you advise me to check or uncheck?

So I'm going to stick with optics.

However, I have a small problem. I deleted files and music in my SSD. But in the BlueOS app they still appear. How to delete them? Thanks

In audio setting just make sure MQA External DAC is NOT toggled on.

Help…Diagnostics…Rebuild Index (this will update the library if you have deleted any tracks)

Tone control unchecked. I use my DAC to modify the treble, bass etc.

    MQA unchecked. OK
    Output level FIXED.
Audio clock setting unchecked. I think my dac handles it.

    Tank you
