BluOS Music Services 'Favourite Artists' needs re-ordering feature
AnsweredI have recently returned to using Qobuz and see that when using the BluOS app, my 'Favourite Artists' are in an illogical random alphabetical order. That makes it tedious by having to trawl the entire list to find any particular artist and negates the purpose of having a Favourite Artist list in the first place.
I have looked through previous posts on this subject and tried the suggested fix, which doesn't work, and noted that this issue has been marked "for consideration by the Product Development Team" on a number of occasions. I too previously complained a number of years ago about the same problem, but at that time using Deezer as the 'Music Service', which might indicate a more deep rooted problem which prevents a remedy being applied. If that is the case, please just say that the issue won't be fixed.
I have of course also raised the issue with Qobuz and after an initial brush-off, they conceded that there was inconsistency in the way 'Favourite Artists' are displayed within the Web Player (which I can manipulate and re-order) as opposed to how the list of 'Favourite Artists' appears within their 'My Account' section. The latter list cannot be manipulated and is seemingly fixed in a 'date added' order and, to my eye, that seems to be the same order that BlueOS applies.
Quboz have told me their tech guys will consider whether they will make a suitable change to enable manipulation of the list in My Account, adding that they have notified Bluesound of the problem I am experiencing. Crucially, they claim that this has no impact on how 'Favourite Artists' appear in BlueOS because "...BluOS have our API, that allows them to order like this..." (they mean alphabetically).
Will this problem be fixed any time soon, or ever?

Hi Steve,
Thank you for your feedback/comment and suggestion. I will ensure that the development department will receive this for future updates.
Thanks for #LivingHiFi -
Hi Mark,
Thanks for the answer but as I noted in my post, a similar or identical issue has been previously referred to the development department on more than one occasion and seemingly without yielding any result.
So that leaves my central question unanswered; "Will this problem be fixed any time soon, or ever?" and it would be good to hear a comment from the development department to deal with the point.
Otherwise, the thought that this issue is just being kicked into touch (again) becomes more persuasive.

I use Deezer and would very much like to see a sort feature for My Music Artists.
I think they originally appeared in the order I added them. Then, months later, they appeared in alpha order a>z. Then, they gradually got more out of order as I added more artists. Now, a couple of months ago they again sorted, only this time z>a. Go figure.
Of course if I add more artists they appear at the top of the list.
I have been told this is due to the api sent by Deezer. Deezer claims not to sort this feed. So why does it sort every so often. It would be nice to have the list sorted.

Sorry to hear you are suffering similar issues LC.
I'm not impressed with the level of response from Bluesound Support. It seems they just say they will note the feedback and then mark the question as "answered", which seems to equate to 'no further action required'. My follow up question has been ignored and I suspect your post will be too. You may have to create a new post to get a reply and the sceptic in me thinks it is likely to be similar to the one above. Good luck though.1 -
They may not respond here. But I had an issue with my music library sorting (I have 1.5TB)... and since they could duplicate the issue they actually added a fix to the issue on an update.
I follow the boards here and on Deezer and I see a bit of finger pointing.
So alas I live with it. Basically I have a good idea of what artists I like and just do a search. Interesting thing is the search box seems to search track artist and the artist list sorts by album artist.

sorry to say that but this issue on deezer and quobuz is still here...
artist cannot be sorted... NAD and Bluesound product are very good but the app is not at the same level...
