Refurbished Pulse (1) "Needs Setup" loop
AnsweredI just picked up a first gen Pulse of your The Audio Factory Site. I'm guessing it has old firmware. I have been able to set up the Wifi and PW and renamed the device name. The problem it goes through the install then ends with Install successful follow ed by a status of "NEEDS SETUP". This is my second devise. I have no problem with my NODE.

Hi Eric,
I'm escalating your request to a support ticket. A member of our support team will reach out back to you.
Thanks for #LivingHiFi -
Per BS "Thank you for contacting the Bluesound Support Crew. I would suggest temporarily hardwiring the PULSE to your router via ethernet to complete the setup. After this, you can relocate it wirelessly.

Hi,
yesterday i bought a new(?) Pulse Mini (first generation) and I have probably the same issue.
The play is connected to wifi or by cable to the router (i tried both) --> in both cases the led is blue.
I see the player in my blueos app (android), but with status "setup not finished" (--> my translation / i use a german version of the app). When adding the new player everything seems to be fine (found in network, can rename and add the player to my bluesound environment), despite the fact that it does not work at all.
Factory reset is not possible for whatever reasons.
This morning I created a support request in german, but now I found this entry.
So my question: Is there any solution for this issue?
Thank you in advance.
Regards
Alex.

From what I remember I needed to 1 ) download the current firmware on a memory stick and 2) install it on the speaker by inserting it when it was unplugged. 3) Plug in the speaker and watch it install the new firmware. I believe it is a red indicator. 4) Once blue you can unplug the Speaker and remove the memory stick. 5) Plug the speaker back in and go through add player steps. (Check the Manual for firmware procedures to be sure)
