Vault 2 can’t find WiFi network

I have a Vault 2. I previously had it connected with a network cable and it worked fine for years. Unfortunately some uninvited guests have chewed the cable and now I’ve decided to move to a wireless setup. The distance to the router is short and unobstructed. I have followed the reset instructions but the Wi-Fi of the Vault doesn’t appear. I’ve tried to enter as ‘other’ using Vault2I-xxxx with x being the last 4 digits on the bottom number but still no luck. Would really like to know next steps.. it now just flashes green. I am able to connect via Bluetooth but using the old name ( added Kitchen) which it’s finding but not playing. The fact that it still recognises this old name makes me believe it hasn’t actually done a factory reset despite following the process. What are the next steps?

  Vault don't have Wi-Fi, so next step would be to get a new ethernet cable.

  The Vault does not have any form of Wi-Fi integrated so you will have to run an Ethernet cable instead.

  Ok thanks for the feedback . It’s been installed so long I had forgotten. That will be a pain. May just have to use it as a Bluetooth setup for now.

  Why not get a pair of power line adapters if you cannot run another Ethernet cable?

  Good thinking. I think I have some. I stopped using them as they weren’t working well but maybe good for this application- thanks

  Yes… they are hit and miss but sometimes they do the job perfectly. My old TP link ones needed a power cycle regularly to keep them working.

  And I have a different problem. Maybe someone knows and can help.
  I have a Vault 2 connected to the network on cable, the light is blue, but no device "sees" it in the network. What could be wrong?

  Network settings on your router… But start by powercycling your Router and then when it’s working power cycle the Vault.
