Spotify Connect finds my players, but won't connect.

My problem is that Spotify Connect let me choose between listening "on this computer" and my Bluesound players (picture below), but Spotify is unable to connect to the players. I have been in contact with Spotify and been told it's a Bluesound issue. I have tried to read other support posts, such as https://support1.bluesound.com/hc/en-us/articles/205951798 and https://support1.bluesound.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360037464834-Spotify-connect-sees-device-but-will-not-connect?input_string=Spotify%20Connect%20finds%20my%20players%2C%20but%20won%27t%20connect. - but none of the different fixes seems to work. It is kind of frustrating to get caught in the void between Spotify and Bluesound. It seems to me like the problems with Bluesound/Spotify has been around for several years - what are the reasons these problems hasn't been sorted yet? Who is responsible for the API? Who won't budge if it is a question about making changes?
I really hope you can give me an answer that is a bit more elaborate than "log out, reset your router and players"...
