You will require an external phono pre-amp. We are big fans of the NAD PP2e and the NAD PP4.

Yes there is. I'd suggest turntable rca > riaa rca > powernode - which has analog 3,5 mm stereo input (so would need rca - 3,5mm interconnects, or adapter).
