T778 receiver - When I set to bi-amp it actually plays to height 2 speakers.
AnsweredReally have been enjoying my T778 with Klipsch Cornwall speakers (v4) and all Klipsch center and ceiling speakers.
When I want to listen to just 2 channel and am playing with settings for sound, I want to bi-amp my main speakers. There is a setting in amplifier setup that allows the back amplifier to be used for "Height 2", "Zone 2", or "bi-amp". When I chose "bi-amp" sound plays through my height 2 speakers even if I have them turned off in speaker setup.
Doesn't seem like I'm getting the bi-amp option. Any insight or support on this glitch? How can I get the bi-amp to work properly?
Thanks.

Best contact NAD Electronics at support@nadelectronics.com whom I am sure will be able to help.
If it’s anything like my old NAD AVR what you are finding sound correct as you would use the speaker outs to either biamp the main speakers or use the outputs for surround / heights but to swap would involve fiddling with cables.

Seppi, you are right and I'm misunderstanding "bi-amping" on my end. I had believed that the receiver would double the power to the main channels and instead of sending power to high frequency and low frequency terminals on my speakers with 2 separate amplifier feeds. In that case it's probably working fine! I won't be able to swap the cables since I currently have a 5.4.1 system.
