drop outs for stored 24/192 files via coaxial out

I can play 24/192 AIFF files from flash drive through current generation Node internal DAC. I get serious drop outs trying to stream these files to external DAC via coaxial cable to the point it is unlistenable. The external DAC can handle this size file via coaxial input and sound great using computer as server via USB. Lower resolution digital files stream to external DAC without issue. Please advise.
