Pulse Flex 2i sound quality deteriorates in home theatre group

I have my Pulse Flex 2i speakers connected to my Soundbar and a subwoofer is hard wired to the soundbar. This forms my Home theatre setup.
When playing a movie (either DVD or streaming) at first the sound is fine, then once or twice during the movie the Flex 2i's lose sync and begin to make a warble sound which will not stop until one speaker (thus all) is turned off, then on again, immediately.
What is causing this and how do I prevent it? It ruins a movie when you are settled down to watch and have to get up and turn off the speakers. There is no way you can stand to listen to it unless you do.

I also wrote an email to the BluOS support and have submitted the Support Request with the numbers 274059.
It's been a few days since I watched a movie and in the meantime I have played other stereo paired speakers (Pulse 2i's), so I don't know whether the log goes back to the last group play.
