Node2 (not 2021) connecting to Cyrus i9 XR
I have a Node2 that is a few years old (not 2021 model). I have been successfully using the Node2 'audio out' to connect to a Cyrus 8VS2 integrated amp.
I just got a Cyrus i9XR that has an integrated DAC. Is it best to connect the new I9 to the node2 with a digital coax cable? Thus utilising the Cyrus DAC in the i9? If so - do I then lose the Node 2 MQA facility?

If the dac in the cyrus amplifier doesn't support MQA it will be 24/88.
I'd still connect your node 2 to your cyrus amplifiers dac.

Paul thanks, yes you're right the cyrus i9 doesn't support MQA. And yes the i9 shows sample rate of 88.2 (against 44.1 for CD quality input from Radio Paradise). So I am guessing I should also set the 'MQA external DAC' switch on the node2 to 'off'?
Really difficult to make sense of this stuff as there is no manual (that I could find) and no online help against the flag in the Bluos controller software.
