HDMI arc always on?

I just got a Powernode and connected it to my TV and everything seems to be working great.
But on my phone and watch I get this music notification reading: "HDMI ARC - <unknown>".
I think that would be ok as long as the TV is on, but it keeps showing as playing after I turn off the TV.
So my question is: will the Powermode ever turn off or stop reporting to my phone that it is playing sound from the HDMI?
Other devices I have connected to the tv turn off when the tv turns off so cec is working, I can also control the powernodes volume from tv.

This will vary from TV to TV - Please ensure your TV is connected to the HRDMI-ARC port out then review your TV's documentation on CEC settings and how to release CEC when not in use.
