    Hi Ingo,

You can select the HUB's source to play on any other BluOS devices in your network (amplifier/speakers sets) in other rooms

To learn more - HUB - Bluesound.

    Thanks for #LivingHiFi

    Hello again!

I am sorry but I believe I didn't explained good enough what I’m looking for. The HUB solution works as an input source for the network and I'm looking for an output that feeds analogue signals into an amplifier.

My problem is that I love to listen to music and this music has to have a certain level of quality. This is the reason why I have a good stereo set in my living room, where I use today the Node 3. However there is as well a good set in garage, where I usually repair and clean my motorbikes. And there is another at my terrace containing huge back loaded horn speakers and a tube amplifier. In every place I have a CD player connected to the amplifier and carry around my CDs.

My goal is to get rid of this carrying around my CDs and feed the music I want to listen to from my NAS via the Node 3 and a kind of audio network adaptor into the amps in several rooms. A solution with one Node 3 for each stereo set would technically be possible but isn’t too smart. The Node 3 can feed its stream into active speakers which are connected to the network – so why not use the same path for existing stereo sets? Instead of only communicate to these active speakers it could communicate via WLAN to a little box which is connected via cinch with an amplifier. The box could be named as terrace or garage of whatever and with the app on my mobile I could select what I want to hear where.

I am pretty sure that I’m not the only one who is interested in something like this! And if you need a guinea pig for tests I am willing to support you 100%. ;-)

    Best regards

    Ingo

    Hi Ingo

Consider buying a NODE for each amplifier location you speak of or replacing the amplifier with a POWERNODE or PULSE.

    Hi Toni,

What a rapid answer -  didn't expected that! Excellent!

Okay buying at least two additional Node 3 on the German market would cost me at least 1000 Euros. Compare this with the efforts of carrying CDs around . . . actually it isn't comparable.

POWERNODE or PULSE are surely good amplifiers but not comparable with a tube amplifier and this solution would be even more costly.

As a product manager for a German safety company I know that flexibility and inoperability is key to success. If you would reuse already existing components from the active speakers it shouldn’t be a big thing for your R&D colleagues to design an kind of “BRIDGE” element you could sell for half of the price of  the NODE 3 since only a little network capability would be required.

With this you would reach customers like my who enjoy the ease of use (for my the NODE 3 is just perfect) but can keep their equipment they bought for good reason.

And maybe it is not even necessary to design something new. A NODE 3 with reduced functionality (different firmware) for a lower price would do I guess.

    Best regards

I echo the above.  I also have a great stereo system and just want to extend playing streaming music from my new expensive NAD c700.  I understand a lot of the cost is down to licence of software, however I have already purchased this via the NAD, and just want to relay the signal to another room - not sure why I should have to purchase another full price node to do this.
