Standard features missing - any plans
AnsweredHave I invested in a system that has no plans for new features in its app ? I’ve been persuaded to drop Sonos and move here. Spent a fortune doing this. Sound quality is great. No issues. The sonos app was bad. Bluesound UI is as bad and more limiting. which was not what I expected. I am stunned at some omissions. Eg. Inability to add a playlist to an existing playing queue - seems so obvious. Inability to adjust balance via the node.(ok that’s hardware not software ) No auto reindex ability. A real pain. Continually drops ONE of my nodes and I need to shut down the app in iOS and relaunch and bingo … it’s back. Adjusting volume of a single node in a group not poss from the Now Playing view.
that’s just bad UI design.
These are features that have been standard for years in your primary competitor. Several of these have been proposed to you for 3 or more years. Have I bought a system that has no plans for new features ? Has your team done a comparison of your primary competitors? I want to love my new system but it’s a challenge.

Hi Sully,
I will make sure that our development team receives your feedback.
Thanks for #LivingHiFi -
Thanks. They may seem harsh and petty. .
But it’s a shock . I thought I was upgrading. Seems not so much. Other than the DAC.
I hope I’m not going to regret not upgrading to latest SONOS.
Also note that I don’t seem to be able to stream Spotify direct to the nodes from the Bluesound app. Is that right?
I have to use my phone to sign in and stream to Bluesound? . Thus draining it of power and rendering g it limited for anything else. .eg If I load a Spotify playlist for my wife , I cannot now watch or listen to anything on my phone in another room.
Or Am I missing a feature here ?1 -
For playing Spotify you need to use Spotify connect.
You control the Spotify content witch is played on your BluOs device with the app on your phone or your PC. The BluOs controller shows the track info and cover image. There you can only handle play/pause and previous or next track.
But when the playlist has started playing on the BluOs device via Spotify connect you can close the spotify app on your phone or your PC and use this devices for other things.
For me this is ok to handle with two apps in this user case.

I’m right there with ya. So far this has been a tremendous waste of disposable income. I won’t be buying anything else from this company; spent over $3k on worthless useless software.
