Powernode/ Buchardt speakers

Just purchased the Powernode as a 'step up' from my Yamaha amp with reasonable burr brown dacs to go with my new Buchardt s400 mk 2. Now I was blown away when I set up the speakers last week and thought the new Powernode would really raise the quality listening...... but it doesn't. The bass is 'muddy' and the soundstage is not as good. I've adjusted the tone controls but can't achieve anywhere like the listening experience I was hoping for. I'm going to run it all weekend to see if anything improves otherwise it will have to go back..... any ideas....please, Paul

Hi Paul,
When dealing with lower ohms speakers, this means that there will be less resistance, therefore more current going to the speakers.
Depending on their wattage, if played at full volume for an extended time the Powernode could damage the speakers or vice versa.
