PROBLEM WITH CONNECTING A USB BACKUP DRIVE FOR BACKUP ON A VAULT 2
AnsweredHave owned my Bluesound system for quite awhile now. Have never had a problem doing a System Back Up. Finished ripping quite a few CD's to my system so decided it would be best to update the System Backup drive (same one I have been using all along) and I would connect it, the LED on the drive would flash for bit then turn steady and when I tried to start the back up I get a message that says
No disc drive is connected
Please connect a USB disc to use for backup or restore
Now I can connect the drive to my computer (Windows 10) and it does not see the drive either so I figured the drive had gone bad so I ordered new one, it came this morning....connected it to the Vault 2, got a message that said
Notice
USB device inserted
OK so I went back to the Vault settings and tried to start the back up and I get the same message
No disc drive is connected
Please connect a USB disc to use for backup or restore
So at this point I connect the new drive to my computer and it sees the drive just fine....
Has anyone had this same problem?
Note: Also tried a couple different cables
thanks

So I take it from the link that there is an issue with the latest "update"? I was wondering what the problem was.. I had used the USB drive that I had been using all along and had last backed up the system on 4-19-2022 and it worked fine then....thought I was having a computer hardware mental breakdown....LOL
Thanks (the "old guy" from Michigan)
Note (5/12/2022 - 8:31am): Checked my Vault 2 and it currently has software version 3.18.7
