Can BluOS Play Songs Locally on Phone?

I am told that BluOS app can't play songs that are stored locally on your phone.  Is this true?

  I have a related question, am succesfully using my android phone to control my Node and play music through attached motional feedback loudspeakers but I can not listen to my library locally on my phone using attached headphones. 

  Assuming local playback is supported please help me to get it working !

  It can't play songs locally. I had to setup a network share to connect to songs on my pc.
