Well you seem to know what to do so…

If not already done so, reserve the IP for both your iMac and Node. Then remove and add the share again but this time use the IP address instead of the iMacs name in Bluesound and see how you go.

You may also want to rename the share on the iMac to something short such as “ALAC”

I already have the IP reserved for the Bluesound and the iMac has a static IP.

I quit manually entering in the share as this was the way BlueOS tech support was having me do it however it didn’t last long either. I’ll give it another try but this was the way I’ve been doing it in the past since the MacOS update that caused issues with their software.

What is your thinking on the folder share named ALAC versus MUSIC FOLDER? Shorter folder name?

    Hi-Res

A lot of “Routers” have no idea of the difference between reserved and using static IPs, if you can just set the iMac to use use DHCP and reserve the IP on the Router.

Share name, short and sweet… folder with spaces historically have been a no no and although the Mac is fine other flavours on Unix are not and you would have to enter paths using quotes.

Alright I have both my iMac and my Node on my router set for DHCP Reserved.

    Removed all the shares.

Renamed shared folders to a short name.

Added shares back using my IP address of the computer and all of the library is loaded up and showing within BluOS.

Hopefully this sticks more than any other work around.

Thanks for your ideas and hopefully this permanently works.

I’ve gone through the past three versions of Node’s and they all did this. I know it’s a BluOS issue and not the Node.
