Music Library (Node latest model) keeps becoming inaccessible on iMac?
I store all of my music directly on my 27" iMac in Apple Lossless in a music folder called Apple Lossless.
I've had this issue for years since there was an update to MacOS that BlueOS had problems with. That initially started on my original Node2 and then I got a Node 2i and now the latest Node and no matter what I do my library always becomes inaccessible after several days. You can find other post from me on this around here and even getting some tech support help from Bluesound but it STILL does this after some time.
I can always remove the shared libraries and add them again and they will work for some time but eventually they are not accessible.
What is going on here and I have other devices that share that same library (SONOS) and NEVER have a problem after numerous updates and iMac OS updates it still works, why can't after all this time I just share my library and its just there...shared with my Node?
My iMac if fully updated, my Node is fully updated, my Node is CAT6 hardwired directly to a Netgear Switch.
HELP!!!

I already have the IP reserved for the Bluesound and the iMac has a static IP.
I quit manually entering in the share as this was the way BlueOS tech support was having me do it however it didn’t last long either. I’ll give it another try but this was the way I’ve been doing it in the past since the MacOS update that caused issues with their software.
What is your thinking on the folder share named ALAC versus MUSIC FOLDER? Shorter folder name?

Alright I have both my iMac and my Node on my router set for DHCP Reserved.
Removed all the shares.
Renamed shared folders to a short name.
Added shares back using my IP address of the computer and all of the library is loaded up and showing within BluOS.
Hopefully this sticks more than any other work around.

Thanks for your ideas and hopefully this permanently works.
I’ve gone through the past three versions of Node’s and they all did this. I know it’s a BluOS issue and not the Node.
