How far can I take iPad from Node?

So, if I understand the Bluesound architecture correctly, most of my music is played though Bluetooth from my ipad (sent to to Node). e.g. Amazon, Spotify, .. Is this correct?

If so, how far can I move away with my ipad from Node in practical terms?

This question becomes relevant in multizone setup. For example if I want to have music play in my house and patio I might select music on patio.

  In most cases your ipad will act as a remote controller. Music services like Spotify, etc., are played from the Bluesound equipment.
