Rega Planar 1 Plus and Bluesound Node 2021
AnsweredGood evening, everybody.
I was thinking to buy a new turntable, a Rega Planar 1 Plus with built-in phono stage, and connect it to my Bluesound Node 2021 using RCA cables.
My question is: what I'll get in the end is an analog or digital sound???
Is the Bluesound going to "mess everything up" by converting the signal coming from the TT from analog to digital?
Thank you very much,
Andrea.

Andrea, rest assured that the Node will definitely not 'mess everything up'. Whilst the analogue output from the Rega will indeed be converted to a 24bit/96kHz signal by the Node (and back to analogue again if using the Node's DAC), the process imparts no audible degradation of the signal. The Node will retain all the rich "analogue" qualities of the Rega's output without introducing any "digitalness" to it's sound.

Thank you very much, Mark... I'm tired of asking people on forums about "issues" like this. Living in a small flat I don't have the room to set up a "proper" system yet the Bluenode has made really easy and flexible my way of listening to my favourite music.
Thanks again...1 -
aw shucks Andrea...
...and thanks for the assist Mark - bang on!
