How Does Bluesound's "Search" Search???

I use the Bluesound Vault 2i with over 1,000 CDs and the Bluesound App to control it all. Because I’ve been having problems with the “search” facility, trying to find songs from album titles, composers, musicians’ names, parts of titles, etc., I have been slogging through many of the threads about Bluesound’s “search” facility and the corresponding metadata, and the issues many users encounter with the search. What I cannot find, if it exists, is a complete description (the program specs?) of the parameters the “search” uses or the metadata fields it uses in its search or how it parses the query or what separation characters I can use and how they work. Does a full explanation document exist that I can reference? It would sure help me (and all of us) greatly by knowing what the search actually “looks at” and how it “looks” at the database. Knowing that, we would be able to enter data into the metadata fields according to how we best want to find what we’re looking for…
