M33 Phono gives distortion when grouping
AnsweredHi guys,
Been loving the M33 for about a week now. What a machine!
Last night there was a bluos update.
This morning I started to listen to some vinyl and my girlfriend was in the kitchen, asking to add the pulse 2i in the group so she could listen to it as well. We did that about a week ago and all went well.
But this morning the sound got distorted enormously, you can't listen to a record. It also happens on the M33 when I group them together, so both on the M33 and Pulse major distortion. Tried different records, all with the same issue. Tried restarting the machine, restart the router without results.
I then have to ungroup, and switch to another input on the M33 to get rid of the distortion. When not grouping, it all works fine. I use the phono input on the m33.
Did the bluos update cause this issue?
Would love to hear from you guys!
With regards,

Hi Arthur
This sounds like a network traffic issue after each player rebooted twice during the upgrade process.
- Reboot your router
- Wait 5 minutes
- Reboot your BluOS Players by selecting Help, Diagnostics, Reboot in the BluOS App
- Toggle Airplane mode on and off on your tablet or smartphone
This should reset all cached network addresses on your router. If the problem persists, select the PULS secondary speaker in the App and then Help, Send Support Request so we may review the event log from the secondary grouped player.

Thanks for letting us know about your issue.
I experienced an issue with a previous update (to 3.15, if I remember well) and M4A files, when grouping speakers/DAC. It took quite a while for a fix to be released, and I am quite happy now.
I will never again perform the update immediately, rather wait a few days until I see that there are no comments on possible problems. Of course, they go unnoticed if nobody performs the update …
So thanks again and hope that the bug will soon be identified.
