I am starting over....
AnsweredHi -- After several years hiatus, I am looking to get back into audio...
As of now, all I have is a HD with about 1TB of apple lossless files I ripped myself back in about 2010.
I am taking a front-end first approach to reestablishing my audio life -- Can I attached my HD to this unit and run with it? Is there a unit out there (other than an apple product) that I can just attach my HD and run with it???
As I said, it been a minute and its clear digital music has passed me by over the last several years and I need to play catch-up...THANK YOU in advance,.,

Hi John, yes you can plug a HDD in, there are a few disadvantages but in general it works ok. If you can plug the HDD into the back of your Router (most have this feature) then that would be perfect.
Over the years there have been a few multi room audio systems that let you connect a HDD directly but unsure what’s available anymore.
info on using HDD vs network / NAS share…
