Amazon Music Unlimited only shows a few albums by artists

For example, if I do a search for Supertramp, the Node 2i will pull back the following items:

  • Top Songs (as expected)
  • The Supertramp station (as expected)
  • Breakfast in America (Remastered)
  • Even in the Quietest Moments
  • The Very Best of Supertramp

When I check the native Amazon app, there are 13 albums. This occurs for every artist I try. The delta between the two apps is enormous.

I'm running this on Mac, iPhone, and iPad - same results. I've checked for software updates, and rebooted the player - all to no avail.

Is this expected as the experience in BluOS?

It just might be the kick I need to get off Amazon along with the price increase and just jump whole hog into Roon with Tidal.

    Hi Mark

    We have been able to replicate the issue here - we are guessing you have AmazonPrime (5 million Tracks free of charge to Prime Users) and not Amazon Music Unlimited (Amazon Subscription Service offering 24/96 or 24/192 Hi-Res Quality and over 30 million tracks).

    When we use Prime we also get 5 Albums (2 versions of Breakfast in America, Even in the Quietest Moments and 2 versions of Crime of the Century). We get 16 albums when we use an Unlimited Account.

    As the title of my post says - it's Amazon Music Unlimited. I just checked my account and I have an annual membership that expires in August.

    So - it looks like my Unlimited Account is showing up as a non-Unlimited account in BluOS?

    Thoughts?

    Update: I spoke with Amazon and performed some troubleshooting and found no problems.

    What I DID find is that my iOS and iPadOS devices pull back the entire set of Supertramp albums. So at least two versions of BluOS work with my Music Unlimited account.

    It's only with my desktop apps (both Windows and macOS) that I get three albums.

    Further - my library of music with items from all across Music Unlimited shows up in "My Library" even if I can't search for them - so some content does show from Unlimited in the desktop versions.

    How should I proceed? 

    Note: also checked for any updates on the controller or player and they are up to date. I have rebooted.

    In the Desktop App, the first 5 most popular options appear - you should however see a button to the right of the header that says SHOW ALL to see the full list;

    Of course, in the interim I set up Roon and Qobuz in the interim and there's no looking back now...
