continuous red light on node 2i after firmware upgrade. Manual update did not work.
AnsweredEven after manual firmware update, still solid red light. Unacceptable for a a 2 year old product with light use.

Solid red means the player is in upgrade mode waiting to perform an upgrade. You could try using an Ethernet cable and see if after a while the player updates.
Removing the power for a good ten minutes may also help.
Beyond this I would suggest you log a support ticket using the email addressÂ
