Connecting a turntable to Bluesound Node 2021
Good evening, guys, sorry for the silly question but I'd like to know, before proceeding to the purchase, if it's possible to connect a Rega Planar 1 Plus turntable (it has a built-in phono stage) to my Bluesound Node 2021, using the RCA outputs on the back of the device.
Thank you very much.

Hi Andrea,
Yes, you can connect your turntable to the Bluesound NODE directly by using an RCA to 3.5mm cable and plugging it into OPTICAL/ANALOG IN port. Thanks for living HiFi.

Followup question; can the turntable's signal then be streamed to other Bluesound nodes and/or speakers within your home?

Yes, you can Group the NODE to other Bluesound players so they play the line-in source.

I have a TeddyPardo fully digital DAC/AMP. Does this mean that with a Node I can feed a phono input to the OPTICAL/ANALOG IN and then the digital out will feed a digital signal to the amplifier DAC?
No need for a phono pre-amp?

Hi Malcolm, if your turntable needs a phono pre-amp then you will still need to use one. The input on the NODE is line level and the majority of turntables produce a signal much lower than this. Some turntables have the phono pre built in and with it turned on can be connected direct to a NODE.

Hello Seppi,
Thanks for the quick answer. Does that mean that the NODE will convert the analogue input originating from the turntable to a digital one that can be used by my DAC/AMP? That would be cool as right now I have no way to play my LPs.
I started this journey as I have a Logitech Squeezebox Touch that I use for internet radio, and the service is now disabled, so need a replacement.
Malcolm

Yes, the analogue input gets converted to digital and passed to the digital outputs, it also gets converted back to analogue for the analogue out’s.
