Stacking phono amp on bluesound node
Hi, I have limited space in my rack. Are there any issues with stacking an ifi Zen Phono on top of my Bluesound Node (2021)? I never use the touch screen. My main concern is if that made it 'always on' or interfered with the function in some way?
Still loving the Node btw, it's great.
With thanks

Hi Jeremy,
It is not advisable, so do it at your own risk. -
Ok, noted, thanks. Can I ask why it's not advised?

Hi Jeremy
Two reasons to keep in mind; one is air flow s you note there are still some ventilation gaps even with the newer top panel touch screen. Airflow isn't as critical with the passive NODE but is with the active POWERNODE amplifier. We generally recommend 2cm (3/4 of an inch) clearance.
The second is the proximity touch cap may be fooled and thrown off some of the smaller phono preamps (such as the amazing NAD PP4) reduced footprint may come in contact with the touchpoints of the panel.
