I'm using my Node 2i for streaming, but also have a USB stick permanently attached, containing about a dozen high res albums I've bought. I think I've read that the Node will reindex that each time I use it, so using NAS is a far better option for larger amounts of content.
My first question is at what point will I start to notice a slowing down of the indexing if I add more to the USB stick?
Secondly, I have about 900 CDs ripped as FLAC files stored on a laptop. I could add them as NAS to the BlueOS library, but would rather not keep the laptop powered up all the time. I've started looking at NAS storage, but so far it seems to be far more than I need. I only want to share music files, nothing else. Does anyone have recommendations for 1 or 2 TB of audio storage which is BlueOS compatible, that I can access wirelessly across a couple of music systems on the same wifi network?
