Analog/Optical Mode on Powernode 2i

i have a powernode 2i and the hdmi arc mode is working great. I want to try the analog/optical mode but I can't seem to make it work. I have a sony tv and iphone and I want to try those mode. can you help me pls

  Hi,
  
  To get audio out of the POWERNODE 2i via the TV, ensure these are true:
  
  1) Ensure a proper connection from the Powernode 2 to the TV via optical out on the TV to the optical in on the player.
  2) The TV audio settings must be set to Stereo PCM or Stereo, Dolby Digital will not output sound
  3) In the BluOS app with the POWERNODE 2i selected, make sure that Optical/Analog In is selected in the left menu of the app.
