VU Meter on Node Icon

Ok, need to open this topic up again. currently searching for a new streamer/ pre-amp and one big part of my buying decision is the VU meter availability on the displays. As far as I understand you guys got and still get a lot of requests to add VU meters to the node icon. What is the status here? What is you guys stopping from adding them to the software? Thanks
