Using an external DAC

I use coax out on my Node 2021, into my Aune X8 DAC. The DAC does not support MQA.

 

Do I need to enable the "bypass MQA internal decoding" option in my Node, and does it make any difference if I do or don't?

  If your external DAC does not support MQA, Settings, Audio, External MQA DACshould be disabled (default setting). You will still be able to enjoy MQA files that will perform 2 unfold up to a maximum of 24/96
