Audio technica AT SB727 (Soundburger) compatibility issue

Has anyone successfully connected this turntable, or had similar issues as me?

The turntable works fine with regular Bluetooth speakers and headphones. When connecting to my Powernode Edge 74EC the connection establishes and the blueos app shows the name of the turntable as connected. There is however no music at all. With volume at max there is a slight crackle, almost like vinyl noise. It disappears when I raise the tonearm. The player design makes the arm wobble slowly when playing and I'm thinking the crackle is really to this. I think there was a fraction of a second of music one time when I lowered the arm, which must have been very faint since the volume was at max.
