Search Field Issue
AnsweredI have a good ten albums of Telemann’s music by various groups. When I enter “Telemann” (note the two “nn”s at the end) in the “Search” field it only brings up one album for the results. If I enter “Teleman” (only one “n”) I then get all the Telemann albums for the results. Why?
I checked every album using my metadata editor (MP3Tag) and they all contain “Georg Philipp Telemann” in the “Album Artist” and “Composer” fields. Several contain “Telemann” in the “Album” (album title) and the “Artist” fields. Yet only one album gets returned searching for “Telemann” using the 2 “nn”s at the end of his name.
Bluesound, do you have an answer for this? Anyone out there have an idea?

Hi Larry
All metadata changes will require a Reindex of your music library before showing. You can also try purging the Local Library Database by selecting Help, Diagnostics, Rebuild Index.

Hi Tony. I do the "help, diagnostics, rebuild index" every time i make any changes to the metadata. This issue persists regardless of how many times I've rebuilt the index. I thought it might be a limitation on the number of characters the Search field uses but all the albums have exactly the same name and number of characters in the Album Artist field, including the only album that comes up in the search under "Telemann".
