apple tv remote controlling powernode
AnsweredHi
I've just noticed something very strange. Navigating the apple TV IOS with my apple TV remote was causing the powernode to skip, play and pause songs.
1) It happened in both the blu os app and when Roon is on (and powernode is the endpoint selected)
2) it happened when the apple tv is NOT connected to the TV via HDMI and even still happened when the apple tv is off (so don't think this is an E-ARC/CEC thing)
3) It still happens when i swtich off the BluOS remote option and clear cache for IR learning
4) It doesn't happen when I use the remote app on my iphone to control the apple tv
So i can only imagine for some reason the apple tv remote is working directly with the powernode. So any ideas how to switch this off?
Thanks
Andy

Please clear any residual IR codes that may have been previously entered into your POWERNODE. Here's how; https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/articles/360039214453

In the BluOS App under Settings, Player, IR Remote, BluOS Remote try disabling the remote altogether.

HI Tony,
Yes, i tried that already, and it still works.
As an aside, doing this does stop the bluesound controller i have from working
I'd like to prove that the apple tv controller is 'seen' by the powernode, but the lights on the powernode don't change when the real controller is used,

HI
OK so i managed to solve this
For some reason, my mac mini (which acts as a server for both roon and the network shares for BlueOS) began to be controlled by the apple TV remote
So as it was headliess, i couldn't see the remote was changing the tracks in the apps on the mac mini and not via the powernode directly.
I had to go to privary->advanced-> and swtich off IR control for the mac mini
Sorry for the trouble and thanks for the help!
