New T 758 V3i

I was have trouble with the control of the new 4D Bell box. Both video and sound from the Bell box were connected through my new T758 V3i. My installer has now connected the video from the Bell box directly to the television. Do I loose anything in video quality or performance as a result of the video bypassing the T758 V3i? If I am not using the T578 V3i for the video, should I be using a different piece of NAD equipment? Thank you.
