"Optical Input" doesn't appear in BluOS IOS app
AnsweredI have connected the optical audio output of my TV to the optical input of the Bluenode 2i, but the "Optical Input" button doesn't appear in the BluOS app (IOS). No sound.
I verified that there is actually a signal coming from the TV.
What's going on here? Is the Bluenode broken or is it an issue with the app?

Most likely not a broken Node, and the app is only a "remote controller".
Try a different cable.
PCM output from your TV?
Settings - Player - Customize Sources - Optical. Auto Sense toggle to On ? -
I tried another brand new cable.
yes, Auto Sense is toggled ON.

Hi
I have exactly the same problem. The optical source and analog is not visable in the app, made the selections / settings you recomends for TV and Node above.
should I bring the node back to store for a check?

@Tony W I have the same problem. All settings are as described above, but the optical icon does not appear for this tv in the app . In my other home it works fine ( same phone and app)

@Peter CGA
I was experiencing exactly the same today after replacing an HDMI cable with an optical one. Turns out I had plugged the optical cable (with the adapter) into the identical-looking IR IN socket. No wonder it didn't work!

Thank you for your reply, highly appreciated. Hang on, that’s perhaps key? I only noticed one socket that fits the shape of the fiber? On the TV and the node, I’ll check!

As far as the Node N130 is concerned, the optical toslink socket on the back of the unit carries audio OUT. You need to use the "mini jack to toslink adaptor" that came with the unit and use the combined optical in/analog in socket.
See the Quick Start Guide for reference.

Of course! How stupid of me!
