    When connecting the CD Player using an optical connection, the onboard DAC of the CD Player is likely adding gain or providing a different equalization. An analogue connection is using only the DAC in the Bluesound Player.

    Bluesound Player DACs are engineered to create a neutral tone intended to be the most accurate reproduction of the recording as intended rather than be set to an individual room or taste
