Why is the sound so different
AnsweredI wanted to know if anyone else had any other issues like I’m having hooked up with an optical place at one level hooked up with analog plays at another level in comparison to a physical CD I have to adjust the volume up 25% and I do not have the same detail in music

When connecting the CD Player using an optical connection, the onboard DAC of the CD Player is likely adding gain or providing a different equalization. An analogue connection is using only the DAC in the Bluesound Player.
Bluesound Player DACs are engineered to create a neutral tone intended to be the most accurate reproduction of the recording as intended rather than be set to an individual room or taste
