Upgrade series 2 to airplay compatibility

Hey There-  We recently quit spotify due to personal decisions and switched to apple music. There is a clear downgrade in sound quality when streaming over bluetooth so would love to use airplay but our entire home is gen 2, not 2i. This includes a pulse flex 2, vault 2, two pulse 2's and a node 2.  Obviously I don't want to buy all new 2i gear. Does Bluesound offer an upgrade? How can I use airplay with my gen 2 stuff easily and without spending a ton of cash. Thanks!

  I found a thread from 3 years ago-- looks like this is a hard no? Did bluesound ever change their tune on this? Is there really no trade in program? Ugh.
