Same here. Only that im with M10v2. Somekind of a HDMI handshake issue I think, but really frustrating as ive had none of them with any other of my gear and there has been a lot.

I have exactly the same issue with my new Nad C700.

I also have the same problem, support so far has not been any help. I think it’s nearly time this C700 goes back and get a refund.

Matti is correct, it is a handshake issue. Best practice also recommends checking your TV to ensure it is on the latest firmware provided by their manufacturer. as mentioned above, support@nadelectronics.com will be happy to assist with troubleshooting.

    Hi,

I Had the same problem with my first C700. Exchanged it, now it works, but without changing anything with regard to the TV...

We had several cases of this behaviour in the german Hifi-forum. I also filed a request with the german NAD / Dali support (Request #10417) but since my new unit didn't exhibit that behaviour I didn't follow up on that. But still, I wonder if that bug hunts me some day...

So if you say this is a problem of the TV, does it mean it would happen the same way with a bluesound powernode? If not, shouldn't it be possible to solve it for the NADs as well?

Also, one user reports the problem without using HDMI.... And I am not sure it happened with my unit in combination with HDMI. It was very randomly and seems to happen with some units only. I suspected a hardware problem, like a relais.

I have had the issue without a hdmi plugged in, is anyone using a subwoofer and subwoofer setting?
I still get sound  output from the subwoofer just not the speakers when this happens. I wonder if it could be something going wrong when the unit high pass filters the output and end up not sending sound to the speakers.

I’m also having no sound out from speakers on my 2 month old NAD C700.  Very random, lasting up to 20 minutes, then sound for 15 to 20 minutes, and then back to no sound. This happens regardless of the source.  Has anyone tried a factory reset?  NOTE: subwoofer on or off has made no difference for me.

    Happens on mine as well.

No HDMI plugged in (using Tidal or optical).
    No subwoofer connected.

Another user with this problem told me, that his dealer told him this is now a known problem and NAD kind of communicates that to the dealers. The dealer told the user it is a software problem, but the unit still has to be sent in. So, this could be treated as a rumor, but I have the feeling the C700 has a serious issue here.... :-/

My second unit still hasn't shown this problem though, fingers crossed....

I have just bought a C700 her in Germany and have the same issue. Has happened to me numerous times already, with at least 50% of all wake-ups from standby. I find this totally unacceptable.

I have currently only connected a CD player via Optical In, i.e. I do not use the HDMI eARC yet.

I will get in touch with my dealer an the local NAD / Dali support to find out how to proceed.

Same issue here with a brand new C700 bought in july 2022. The sound is muted after 15-20min. Needles are moving... Very sad

    Hello,

Same issue on my side (same symptoms). No sound from time ttime after the unit is switched on.

Sub is producing sound but not the main speakers.

Any return of experience from the ones reporting the same problem ?

    Thanks all.

My unit was repaired for the same issue 1 year ago. Now the issue returned. 2x "no sound after standby" in a week. Any other users where the issue returned after a repair?
