    HI Sebastian

We have been able to replicate this issue here in our BluOS Lab - look for a software patch, BluOS 3.16.7 in the coming day or so to resolve this issue. We do apologise for the inconvenience...

Thanks Tony, as I said, it's working fine on Wifi, so not a big issue if this is solve in the next days.

Hi Tony, I've ordered a new Bluesound Node, it will be arriving this Friday 2/4. I was planning on initially configuring it with wired Ethernet. After reading your comment to Sebastien, should I configure it with WiFi until this patch comes out? Or do you think BluOS 3.16.7 will be out by this Friday?

    Tom

Hi Tony, I have applied the patch 3.6.17 but this is not solving the issue unfortunately

Hi Sebastien, sounds unfortunate that wired Ethernet is not working. Do you think this is wide spread or isolated. I'm wondering which way I should go, Ethernet or WiFi?

Hi Tom from my part, with my HiFi installation I don't hear any difference between Wifi and wired. I have read somewhere that the Bluesound is working in the same way, with same results even for HiRes files, but I let Tony answer on that point

Then it may be just a bad cable - replace the cable and if problems persist, please contact our Support Crew at support@bluesound.com

They just updated my delivery for my NODE to today! I will configure it with Ethernet and see what happens.

The problem is solved, it may have been a cable / connection issue (I used another one, it worked well, and again with the first one, it worked also).

Tony one last point for you if I may. Is the BlueNode compatible with cat7 ethernet cable ? Will there be any difference ?

    Thanks

    Hi-Res

Cat7 is backwards compatible so will be fine to use, however won’t give you any benefits apart from costing more.
