    Hi Martin (et al)

DOLBY implementation is as much hardware as it is a software implementation process. The POWERNODE and NAD M10 currently have DOLBY decode as part of their hardware implementation. The PULSE SOUNDBAR+ is the sole BluOS Home Theatre Grouping capable model that supports ATMOS' hardware requirements.

Though the M10 is a little different as a unique lifestyle Masters Series Product, our good friends at NAD traditionally leave the DOLBY hardware requirements out of their 2 channel products.

Would really like this to be added to the Node N130.

    +1.

I own a NAD t777v3 and hoping since almost 4 years that wireless surround speakers DIRAC managed could be added...and if I can add another wish...some new Bluesound Atmos enabled speakers (like the new Sony SA-RS5 or Philips Fidelio FS1)

    Hi Tony

    Thank you for your answer.

If I understand you correctly, both the Node N130 and the MDC2 module of the NAD C399 do not meet the hardware requirements of the DOLBY decoder. Is that correct?

If so, I would very much appreciate if new products meet these hardware requirements. I personally think that there is a big customer potential who want to expand their stereo into dolby surround systems without purchasing a multi channel receiver and installing cables for the read end speakers.

Would be nice to know if your R&D team takes requests like these into consideration.

    Best regards
    Martin

They absolutely do - not everything is implemented for various reasons but we do review valuable consumer feedback all the time.

If the NODE would support surround, it would be an instant buy to me (even more so if it did Dirac Live). I love the functionality on my POWERNODE, but the sound quality isn't quite as good as I'd like. I'm sceptical that the M10 V2 is the be all end all amp for me, and the M33 doesn't support surround either, I think? So using the NODE with any amp I like seems to make the most sense.

    Hello Tony

Is there any news on this request? I am still very happy with my NAD C399. However, this feature would bring enormous added value.

    Hi Martin

Let me clarify my answer to your earlier post in this thread

    correct

Dear Tony, with the marketing of MDC2 as a 2-way MDC, my first reflection was: Dolby Surround!

Appreciate the clarity but said to see that this was not implemented. M10 is a particular choice (and C399 is truly a better package) and the Powernode will just not beat it for many large speakers. Those little Pulse Flexes to do surround would be a dream for the C399. The DOLBY decoder would be a nice addition on the next gen MDC2 (that is what MDC is for right ;) )

    Keep pushing the R&D team!

    Hi Tony +1 to Robert.

I've basically lost my hope to have blosound surround channels natively wirelessy piloted by NAD amplifiers.

In the meanwhile something is moving on with other brands as Sony with the STR-AZx serie that can be paired to their SA-RS5 and assume more will come with the new Atmos FlexConnect standard.

Still dreaming it will happen one day..

+Fabrizio, agree. The support of Dolby makes the product line gappy.

Maybe, just maybe, this could be an idea for that second MDC slot in the C399? We need something to stuff into it ;)
