Node2i audio USB output to AQ Dragonfly and headphones

Hello,

Is MQA experience maximised  by :-

Node 2i (2021) USB out, to Firefly out by analogue cable to Headphones

OR

Node2i (2021) USB out by Digital USB Cable (male to female) to Firefly to Headphones

  Hi Paul

  The NODE 2i does not support USB as an output source. USB Out is only supported in the newer NODE N130.

  That being said - MQA is fully maximised by NODE 2i RCA out to your amplifier to Headphones for traditional wired headphones or paired to the NODE wi directly using Bluetooth.

  Hi Tony Thanks for this, My Node is a N130. 

  While already connected by RCA to pre-Power combo and that I could plug Headphones into mini-3.5mm Jack on front panel, I want to understand whether I will have an improved experience by using my USB Dragonfly Headphone combo and if so is the experinec better with a digital cable or analogue cable. Do you all have any insight to this?

  Honestly - that is for your ears to judge - Try them both - and go with what you think sounds better.
