    Hi Matt

I have passed your feedback along to QA - in the interim, set your Audio to FIXED Output before re-enabling your USB DAC in the Audio Settings of the NODE N130.

Thanks Tony. Tried this. The volume now appears fixed at about 1/2 at least per the dial that shows adjacent to the pause button. Should this show at 100%?  Not sure it’s a huge deal but I want to be sure everything is working as it should.

Something doesn't seem 100% right (no pun intended) - please select Help, Send Support Request in the App so our Support Crew may take a closer look. In the Description field - please again let them know what DAC you are using and the problem is it is not 100% fixed.

Thanks Matt for bringing this up.

Indeed the output volume is not 100% as compared to other Alsa sound devices at the same level going into the same Dac.

I guess everyone can send an individual ticket in on this, but it might be best to treat this as a global USB sound issue rather than trying to fix it per/user.

    Your thoughts on this Tony?

Would you like me to send a ticket in on the same USB volume issue, or do you think this might be treated and resolved globally and fixed with an update?

Yeah, it's not just the volume but, also sound quality.  When I turn up the amp to achieve sufficient listening volume (about 75%) using the external DAC option through USB, the sound isn't great.  I'm not sure if that's the Node, the dac/amp or some combination but, for now, I'm back using the Node DAC and the Fireflies amp.  No worries though, as long as it gets sorted out in the not too distant future, I don't mind.  But, I did buy the Node, in part, specifically because I could use the USB out to my Fireflies though.  I had thought about getting a second Cambridge Audio CXN (I use one in my main system) but, I'm not wild about the Cambridge Audio software (Stream Magic).

Yes the sound is dull and muted compared to other devices going USB output into the same Dac.

    No sparkle or air etc.

Odd because this is Arch Linux and I roll my own Arch Linux and have heard other distro's of Linux that use Arch like Ropieee etc. Either way its all Alsa sound architecture so great sound is do'able.

I have to say that my soekris DAC works now perfectly with the NT130, sound level is the same, sound is much better than rca/spdif.

I am a lazy guy though...i like to have volume adjustment from my ipad... any plans to do that for USB ?
