Apple Music integration

I have various Bluesound devices in my household and use TIDAL because of the tight integration. A friend asked if this type of integration is possible with Apple Music, rather than having to AirPlay to compatible devices or (even worse) via Bluetooth. I didn’t think Apple permitted this sort of the access to any third party, but was told that Sonos does support it. If this is true, why can’t Bluesound do something similar?

  Apple wrote the interface / API for Sonos a very long time ago, they then decided not to integrate any other platforms and the only way was using Airplay. There is one commercial system that had Apple integration but it’s a dealer install.

  All you can do is petition Apple or do what others do and use another Hires streaming service such as Tidal, Qobuz or Amazon Music.
