    Hi Harry

The same way you kill any App on your phone swipe it away when viewing Open Apps. You can also control locked screen options from your phone settings under Apps.

    No - that doesn't work.
I did find if you turn Wi-fi off then it eventually turns off.   Easier that restarting the phone every time!

Hi Harry, you don’t mention what type of phone you have. Normally apps on smartphones / tablets are load and then swapped in and out of memory and no need to close them down with the exception of some poorly implemented Android memory management.

I have a Samsung S10 phone and Tab A Tablet.      Most apps "go" when you swipe but not Bluesound.
I assumed having the app sit there the whole time was sucking up battery - so maybe not.  Either way - I don't really like permanent apps.    If all apps started doing this it would get very squeezy on the phone.

Hi, facing the same issues with my realme gt pro2 phone with android 13 version...swapping the app out doesn't help. Any advice?

Only workaround I've found is to empty play queue. Once emptied the app can be swiped away.

In a way, if I'm using tidal the above may work. But sometimes I'm using internet radio, and the above won't work.

...then you just have to start playing anything on Tidal, clear play queue, and swipe away.

I had the same problem and I just discovered that if I open the app while not connected to the Bluesound unit, it goes away
